Established in 1995, Oil&Steel S.p.A. immediately demonstrated the outstanding quality and talent for innovation which would take the firm soaring not only to the top of the Italian market, but also – and more importantly - to the top of the European one, in just a matter of years.

In 1996, the company’s attention to the market’s evolution paid off when it became the first to launch a line of tracked platforms, equipped with hydraulically lowered outriggers, called Octopussy. The extreme compactness and versatility made this innovative equipment a best-seller, and still today it remains the pinnacle of the Oil&Steel product range.

Halfway through 2003, Oil&Steel was bought up by what was then Autogru PM S.p.a. (and which later became PM Group S.p.a.) a company that had been acquired - only the previous year - by investment fund BS Private Equity; the aim of the operation was to create the first Italian group in the lifting sector (objects and people).

Today, Oil&Steel S.p.a. is a dynamic business that leads the way in its market at European level. As part of the PM Group S.p.a's, it features among the top international firms in the aerial work sector.
